Officer Theo Leon was once again in bad mood. The well-known killer for his crimes, David Dalton, would leave the jail. After his failed attempts to escape before, as other officers before him had told him, now seemed useless. The killer had just completed his sentence and Theo was forced to be the one who would unlock him from his cell..
For good and for bad, Theo carried with him his weapon in case Dalton still had his old habits. As Theo approached the cell, he saw Dalton with a hungry look in his face. He frowned. Who knew what ruthless crimes that hideous killer would do now that he was out of jail.
Rudely, he shouted towards Dalton's direction: "Hey, it's your lucky day today.. You will return back to freedom..". Theo unlocked the cell and opened the door. Then, he half-closed his eyes and whispered to Dalton: "I'll be watching you Dalton.. A wrong move and you'll be behind bars again..."

David was sitting on the cold stone floor of his cell his head bend down looking at the rat he had killed while his hands were tapping with rythm on hi legs. It had been two years since he was locked up, two years since he was betraid by his previous employer. The wall behind him was filled with lines as he was counting the days he was in there. There were more than seven hundret little lines scratched on that wall while blood was filling the floor of his cell.
Dalton had tried to escape many times before but he was unsuccessdul. The blood on the floor was mixed up with his after the torturing he received when trying to escapre along with the blood of his ex-cell mate whom he killed on the spot when he prevented him from escpaing once. There was also rat blood which he had been killing for the last two years and throwing them at his guard.
Hey, it's your lucky day today
Dalton heard someone talking and the sound of kets unlocking something. He raised his head and stared at the man who was opening his cage before he stood up and kicked the dead rat away. With strong andf short steps he walked up to the jail entance and looked up into the eyes of the policeman. David was unshaven and his beard was getting darker on his face while his hair were long up to his shoulders.
"You's better watch closely..." he started saying and looked down at the label on the officer's uniform. "....Leon, because you'll never catch me again. I'm not coming back here and I'm definately not leaving any trace behind."

Theo looked disgusted at the site of the prisoner's cell.. How can he even live in there?, he thought. He then turned his eyes and observed Dalton. The killer said to Theo something and Theo brought his face very close to the prisoner's and continued in a low voice: "You shouldn't threaten me Dalton.. I would have no problem to lock you up again for this!! I don't care how brutal you can be.. If you do anything wrong, believe me the hand of the law will reach you"
Theo ended his words and gazed at Dalton with a look of triumph in his eyes challenging him to disagree..

Dalton didn't flinch as the officer moved closer. He didn't even blink. The man simply stared into his eyes and waited for him to finish. A smirk then formed on his face before he talked. "The hand of law may be able to each me but it will never catch me. I know how to hide my trail and the officers before you know it well. All you need is a snitch but mind you, this time I wont be so careless."
The man let the smirk on his face as he talked and then took a few more steps and got out of his cage while turning back to face Theo Leon. He ironically let his hands up and nodded to him to unlock his handcuffs. Dalton was playing a game but he knew well that he couldn't be hurt. Not if the policeman followed the rules he swore to obey.

"OK", Theo said, "you can think whatever you want Dalton!!"
Then remembering that the prisoner's hands were still in handcuffs, Theo sighed and unlocked the handcuffs setting the prisoner free.. "Have a nice day as a citizen Mr.Dalton", Theo said ironically and showed him the exit. "Go", he said and waited for the ex-prisoner to leave...

"That's what I always do!" Dalton said raising his eyebrows. There was a smirk constantly on his face as he knew the man couldn't hurt him now. He had all the rights anyone had and until he made his next rule-breaking action which would definately be soon, no one could hurt him. "I will....without any cup pigs in my way!" he said and leaned forward closer to the policeman.
"Oh, trying to get rid of me fast are you?" he said to him chuckling and he turned around to walk out of the door. A proud smile was now formed on his handsome face while his mind was running fast. He had to kill his next victim and had to do it fast. If he knew David Dalton was out in the loose again he might hide himself good. Once he reached the door, he turned around and placed two fingers on his forehead before making a military wave at the officer. "See you in hell!" he told him before he started chuckling again. He was trying to trick his nerves and he knew that wasn't going to be good for him but some free-man fun wasn't going to hurt.

Now Theo was really angry. His temper was always one of his drawbacks.. "Don't you dare say such things Dalton again. Now, i will tell you something and always remember it.. When you go down I'll be near to plunge you even deeper in chaos!! Now leave!!"
However, Dalton seemed to have time for a little chit-chat.. Theo just ignored him and said to him: "Out or I'll shoot you!! Oh and Dalton, i am not a scum like you to end up in hell!!", Theo said angrily to the ex-convict..

"Are we getting angry Mr. Leon?" he said to him sarcastically but half closed his eyes at his final comment. "And I'll make sure to grag you along with me into the chaos so you can face your worst fears."
"Shoot me? Oh Leon, would you give up your badge and loose your work for a "scum" like me? I don't think anyone, even you, would be so stupid!" Laughing, Dalton used all his force to close the door with a loud bang behind him before he made his way to the check-out desk where he would receive the personal items they were holding for two years before they locked him in.

"We'll see who says the last word", Theo replied. He hung the handcuffs on his belt and watched Dalton go to the check-out-desk. He murmured: "It was the worst mistake and harm to society with this man outside bars.."
With a sigh he headed to his office shaking his head in the prospect of the massacre this man was probably planning as soon as he got out of there..

Dalton stood in frond of the desk waiting to receive his stuff they had taken. A golden watch he had stolen when he was 15, a picture of his mother and a small black-diary list he had which he now no longer needed. He was going to start a new life, a new beginning, with everything he used to do but with his own rules. There was also a gun he was holding when he got arrested which of course was not going to be given back to him.
"Oh no...." The warden said. "This list needs to be signed and approved by Mr. Leon." Dalton swore loudly and grabbed the paper out of the man's arms. Scowlling, he walked up to Theo's office and knocked as hard as he could on the door intending to pull it down.

Theo returned swearing in his office. "The fucker, suck a scum! He thinks he is above law and everything!!"
However, his mood immediately changed when he sat in his office. He remembered he had to sign a list about Dalton's things.. Smiling he waited for the knock on the door. When he heard he shouted with a very happy tone in his voice: "Come in!!"
Dalton didn't seem to have heard so Theo got up with a huge smile in his face and waited for Dalton to calm down and stop hitting the door so hard. The man was a maniac however. Theo sighed stood in front of the door smiled widely and opened it..
What he saw was a furious Dalton, not at least looking like the smart guy he tried to portrait a while ago.. Theo smiled happily and asked Dalton in a very ironic way: "Mr.Dalton you already missed jail? How about i lock you up back there?". Then suddenly changing mood he asked rudely, pretending not to know: "What is it now Dalton?"

Dalton kept hitting the door mostly for the fun of it. He had however an angry look on his face as he was supposed to see again the man with the uniform whom he didn't like. He never stopped hitting until the door was opened and his hand missed the door rushing through the empty space and stopping just inches before Theo's face. A smirk formed now on Dalton. "I could let it hit you, you know." he told him coldly and lowed the hand staring at the policeman as he spoke.
"I told you before Leon, you ain't locking me up again for any stupid reason. I'll make sure you'll be my second target once I get out of here. I of course have some unfinished business to do..." he said to him while he voice drowned away at the final sentence. He alowed a silence moment before talking again as Theo turned into a cold and rude person again. "You sign this." he told him raising his hand revealing a messed up piece of paper he had enclosed in his fist. It was all rubbed up but Dalton wanted to give him a hard time signing but he also made sure to purposely forget the phrase I need you to from his sentence.

Theo smiled at Dalton once again. "And what exactly is this Dalton?", he said and looked at the messed up sheet of paper. "Why do i have to sign this?". He pretended he took a look at the document however, he barely knew how to read, Theo couldn't understand some complicated words on the document. He knew, though, that Dalton needed his signature so he ignored the pens on his desk and he told Dalton: "Tough luck! I got no pen to sign!! These are empty", he said pointing at the pens. He was smiling and raised his eyebrows waiting for the other man's reaction..

All this time Dalton could tell that the officer was messing around with him and was just trying to give him hard time or cause the killer to make the wrong move and find himself behing bars again. But Dalton was more clever than that. He wasn't going to allow some stupid asshole to mess up with him just because he felt like it.
Smirking, he walked closer prpared for every shot he received. "You need to sign it so I can get out of here faster and I wont have to see your face for any longer." Dalton smirked with satisfaction as he waited for the next hit. And this one, was just what he was waiting for. "Oh, no pen huh? Don't we know how to write Mr. Officer?" he told to him ironically as he placed his hands on his backpockets. "I got a pen for you." he said taking out a pen from his pocket which he had sneaked moments before from the desk he was trying to get his items from. Raising his hand, he handed the pen to Leon, waiting for him to take it while staring directly into his eyes.

"Watch your manners Dalton", Theo said while he winked at him and moved his finger playfully in front of the killer's face.. "You will have to tolerate my face as long as you are in here Dalton so don't complain about that!!"
However, Theo was not prepared for Dalton's next comment. It was really insulting him. His education was indeed low, but not that low!! He tried to hide his feelings behind the cold mask of apathy and said in a cool tone in his voice: "Of course I know how to write! Hand over the pen Dalton and next time don't snitch things that belong to the police!!"
He looked at the cold eyes of the man. At that moment, Theo knew that he would be eternel enemies with this man.. He took the pen from the man's hand and straightening the document in his hand he signed.. "Now go Dalton and for once again I'll be watching you.. If you do any outlaw acts again I'll be the one who will arrest you and lock you up again!!"
